Q. What is the UHCC?

A. UHCC or ‘The Ultimate Halloween Caribbean Cruise’ is an annual cruise event developed by 3 independent travel agents for the LGBT community, their family and friends. The UHCC was created to unite the community by combining several groups into one large group compiled of individuals from all walks of life.

Q. Is this an all LGBT cruise?

A. No, although our primary goal is to someday have a full ship charter, the UHCC is currently a group event.

Q. What is the age range of UHCC guests?

A. The UHCC is open to all who are at least 21 years of age or older. The average age is 35 years old.

 Q. How do I sign up for the UHCC Cruise?

A. To sign up for the the UHHC2 Event:

($50.00 per person is NON-REFUNDABLE from the agency)

Q. What does the cruise cost cover?

A.Your cruise fare includes all meals on-board (excluding specialty restaurants) and juices. Your cruise fare does not cover gratuities, travel insurance (unless elected), Transportation to and from the ship or the UHCC2 Event Pass.

Q. What is the UHCC2 Event Pass?

A. The UHCC event pass is your ticket to exclusive parties and entertainment being planned specifically for UHCC2 guests. The cost of the pass is separate from cruise cost and the price has yet to be determined. The Event Pass is optional but you will not be able to attend these private functions without purchase. There may also be optional excursions offered outside of the event pass as well.  You must book with one of the three authorized travel agencies to purchase the event pass. Q. What will the UHCC2 Event Pass include?

A. The events for this years cruise are still under development, however, our previous cruise included: several private dance parties with open bar & our own DJ, various discussion forums, private beach party, guest talent show, comedy show & a concert.

Q. How do I make additional payments?

A. Additional payments can be made at any time prior to the 8/1/2012. You can make cruise payments by first contacting Zenbiz Travel by phone (800-381-1580) or by email (info@zenbiztravel.com). You have the option of paying by credit card, check or Paypal (processing fee applies).

Q. When is the final Payment due?

A. All Payments for the UHCC2 should be received on or before 8/1/2012

Q. Do I need a passport?

A. Although it is high recommended to obtain a passport prior to sailing, currently it is not mandatory to board the ship. You can sign in with a state issued driver’s license and your birth certificate. These requirements can change at any time. You can find information about obtaining a US Passport here.

Q. What is travel insurance?

A. The cruise line offers insurance to protect you in case you need to cancel due to specified reasons or more importantly if you need medical attention while away. The insurance is optional but highly suggested. The fee for insurance is determined by your cabin cost. Q. What should I pack?

A. Since we will be departing from New York City in October it would be advisable to bring a jacket and jeans for cool weather in NYC.  The Caribbean will be HOT. Be sure to bring light shorts, shirts and beach attire. There will be 2 formal nights while at sea. You may want to bring dress clothes for these nights. UHCC2 Event Pass holders are welcome to take part in the costume party so a costume is also strongly suggested. PS. Don’t forget sunscreen.

Q. What kind of costume should I bring?

A. When choosing a costume, please keep in mind that there will be families on board with us. In an effort to maintain the family atmosphere of the cruise line, keep costumes ‘PG-13?. Bare chests or risqué attire will not be allowed.

Q. How do I find a roommate?

A. If you need of a cabin mate, please advise your agent at the time of booking. Keep in mind that this is not a matchmaking service. Our goal is to place individuals with others with the same cabin type and category.

Q. We will be at sea during the 2012 presidential election. How do I Vote?

Q. How do I get airfare?

A. Each guest is required to purchase their own flights. To compare multiple carriers it is suggested that you use KAYAK to research rates. Please be sure to check baggage fees as well.

Q. I will need a hotel / Transfers. What should I do?

Hotels and transfers will be handled on a case by case basis. Hotels and transfers will only be discussed once you have purchased airfare. The cruise line does have shuttle service from LaGuardia Airport on the day of departure and return ONLY. Please call (800-381-1580) Zenbiz Travel for details.
